FAQ

  • How do I know what kind of service I need?

This depends on the completeness of your manuscript. Is it fully written? Is it a first draft? Is it just an idea in your head? The answer could be different than you expect! We will figure it out together after talking about your hopes and expectations for your work.

  • What if I don't want someone changing my work?

A good editor understands that YOU are the author!

This is your book, your story, your words. My job is to make you look good and then fade into the background.

  • Why don't you have your prices listed?

Because the work is so dependent on the manuscript, every job is unique. Prices vary depending on what services the author wants as well as the project itself and how much work it may need. Price also depends on manuscript length and author’s desired timeline.

  • What style guide do you follow?

I defer to the author’s choices regarding all things style and voice.

  • What can I expect by working with you?

Diligent attention, open communication, reliable work.

I am a quick, careful reader and will likely over-communicate with you in order to provide you with the best possible manuscript.
